I am back in it

Had my MRI on Tuesday.
Cleared to run on Wednesday evening.
Will go through an intesive
massage to the IT band Friday
and do it to it on Saturday!!
I can't believe it is on Saturday!!

2 weeks!

2 weeks until the race!
How exciting.
Yet I am so sad.
I hurt my IT Band and
was advised if it doesn't heal
to not run the race.
This week will be full of
massage therapy, yoga, and elliptical
hopefully helping me to do the race.
Happy Running to the Healthy Runners!

Running Home

James dropped me off at a dear friends house
I visited and then ran my self home.
It was a good run.
May have not been the 8 like on the training schedule
but I did run and I will
pat myself on the back for that.
I do like running.
But I easily get burnt out from it.
I hope to stay mentally strong
for the next 3 weeks
and enjoy the race on the 18th!

Wowsers!!

Mapped out a good run Saturday morning
and set to it.
It was a gorgeous day!!
I thought that it was 10 miles,
but it was more between 9.5 and 9.75 miles.

It was a fun run.
It felt good.
I had a girl pass me,
and surprisingly I didn't care.
I was happy to be out running
feeling healthy and have the sun shine on me!

Too bad it kind of burnt me out for
my run on Monday.
I didn't even last a half mile on the treadmill.
Whoops! :)
There are more days to run!
4 weeks till the race!
That's so awesome!

Not quite 8... but good enough!!

Yesterday was scheduled for 8 miles
But due to timing issues I voted
for a good strong 6 miler.
Surprisingly it went well.
I can never determine my speed
while I am running outside,
but my body felt good the whole way.

I am now a true believer in
sticking to a training schedule.
On Thursday I am going to
try some interval runs at the
track to see if I can build up my
muscle and endurance.

Running through... Pocatello

I went to Pocatello this past weekend
to judge a clogging competition.
It was a blast.
But I knew I had to stick with the training
schedule and get my long run in.

My amazing friend, LaChere, hooked
me up with her friends who were also doing a long run.
I was nervous!
We went at 6:00am and headed off
on our 10 mile adventure.
For some reason I couldn't get into a rhythm.
It was a bit rough.
I knew my body and mind couldn't make the
full 10 they were doing,
so I looped back and did 8.

Running by myself through Pocatello
was actually quite exhillarating.
I saw a lot more of Pocatello that
I didn't know was there.
I guess running with people makes
me a little nervous, which is ok.

I tried the energizing jelly beans.
After trying gu, the beans, and the shot blocks
the shot blocks are definitely my favorite!

Teaser Run

There is a 10 mile race/run
on April 4th at 7:30am.
It is in Emigration canyon and
they will have aid stations along the way.

The price is discounted at $25 if you
sign up before March 19th.
$30 if you sign up after.

I think it would be a fun way
to get a long run in with the
atmosphere of a race.
Let me know if you are going
to do it, maybe we can carpool.

Keep on running!!

Do it to it

The 4 miles yesterday felt
AWESOME!
Granted it was a bit rough
running again since my
two week hiatus.
But I really feel I could actually
start enjoying my runs
instead of loathing them
Here! Here! To running!

the training wagon.

This week is my week that
mentally and physically
I am ready to jump back on.
It wont be the easiest thing
getting back into it,
but I am committed and ready!
WOOP! WOOP!

Here is to 6 more weeks!
Let's go kick some trash!!

Can you believe it?!

We are on week 7 already!!
It's amazing
and astonishing
how fast the 5 weeks have gone.
Week 8 was non-existent with
my running. I was a bit bummed,
but you move on and keep training hard.
Good luck with your training!
I know I will need it!
