Last night when I got home from work I went for my run outside, it was the first time I’ve actually ran outside during our training program instead of on a treadmill. Surprisingly I did much better than I thought I would. J Yeah… I’m bragging… just a little tho. After stretching & a light warm up, I started running at 6:02 p.m. I was a little nervous since it was the first time I’ve ran in just over a week, since I was sick last week. So I told myself I was just going to “try” for 30 min. It was perfect outside, about 50’s, and the time just flew by… the next thing you know, I had ran 6 laps with out stopping around the top track at Flat Iron Park… and honestly I was still feeling pretty good so I said, well lets push it and go one more lap! So I did and it took me 45 minutes to run 7 laps without stopping. Then I walked for 5 min to cool down a bit, than ran the entire way home which took me about 10 more minutes. I got home at 7:00pm and was SO proud of myself! Woot Woot! And pretty tired…even LuLa was having a hard time keeping up in the end, but I kept saying “good girl, you can do it”, and she would get a little burst of energy which then would give me a little burst of energy. J
Each lap around the top of flat iron is 2/3 of a mile, so 2/3 x 7 laps is about 4.5 miles right? Plus the 10 minutes it took me to run home, I’m calculating I ran about 5 miles! So I am pretty excited about that! And, honestly I feel pretty good today J Anyways, that’s it! Just thought I would share, in hopes that it will keep everyone else pumped up!! Keep sharing your stories/pep talks with me because it has helped me!!
RUN FORREST RUN!!! And keep on RUNNIN’!!!!!!
Love you all!
